How It Works?

Winefellow provides a proprietary technology that reads UPC codes on a wine bottle using a mobile barcode scanner. Each attendee receives a personalized name badge with a barcode that contains their name and e-mail address. During an event, Winefellow staff will interview each guest on their rating of each wine and capture that information with the mobile barcode scanner.

The wine ratings are sent to the Winefellow Insight Database™ which produces a personal Wine Report for each attendee that provides individual wine ratings and group averages.

Winefellow has built its scanning platform on Microsoft .NET technology. The mobile handheld devices are Windows Mobile based and Microsoft SQL Server provides the backbone. Of course, the rest is built on C#, but that's the 'secret sauce' and we really can't go into too much more detail.
